Remote Peering

The KGT new media can connect their customers to many Internet Exchanges within Europe and the USA. The customer must not be "phyisical" present at the IXP location.

Delivered as a transparent Layer-2 service we can realize Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint connections.

Benefits

  • No colocation at the IXP location necessary
  • We will only charge for the transport service and if applicable the member fees of the Internet Exchange
  • Fully redunant MPLS path
  • Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint connections
  • Bandwidth up to n x 10 Gbps possible
Point-to-Point solution
The customer will order 1 Gbps to the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX) and will get a Gigabit port in one of our locations where we are "On-Net". The network interface of the client router receives an IP address directly from the AMS-IX pool. The customer will be chareged for the transport service to Amsterdam (1 Gbps flat) and, if applicable, for the membership fees of the operator of the Internet Exchange point.

Point-to-Multipoint solution
The customer will order a Gigabit port in one of our locations where we are "On-Net" and get 500 Mbps to the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX) and 500 Mbps to the Lodon Internet Exchange (LINX). This will be a transparent service too. The first VLAN will go to the AMS-IX, the second VLAN directly to LINX. The customer will be charged for the transport service (1 Gbps flat) and for both membership fees. (AMS-IX and LINX)

International Cross Linking
You are present in two different European or US data centers and want to connect them each other? If KGT new media is "On-Net" on both locations, we can switch a connection between these two locations. There are Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint connections possible.
